In March 2023, Nationwide Safety was selected to supply and install debris-lined safety netting across various roof areas using Rope Access techniques.
To ensure safety while work continued within the building, we closely coordinated with our client and the end user, cordoning off our working area with barriers while performing the high-level installation.

Project Details:
Total Area: 4120 sqm
Installation: Nets would be fastened to the building structure at suitable tie points, typically to a structural steel member.
If no suitable tying point is available, either:

• Eye bolts were needed to be installed as close as possible to the underside of the roof area. Drills used to create initial small holes at eaves level. The holes are then progressively drilled to 20mm in diameter and have a plug inserted, followed by an eye bolt to create our anchorage points.

• Scaffolding tube installed to the underside of the available steelwork with SKs to create suitable safety net anchorage points.

Despite the challenges posed by numerous roof penetrations, our team successfully completed the installation. Our impeccable safety record was maintained throughout the project, ensuring a secure environment for all involved. Both the customer and our client were highly satisfied with our work, commending our rope access teams and expressing interest in future collaborations.
