In March 2023, we commenced the installation of tensioned access safety netting, standard safety netting, edge protection, and HAKI stair towers across seven blocks at the new Eastbrook Studios project in Dagenham.
Project Details:
• Safety Netting: 22,800 sqm
• Edge Protection: 2,850 linear meters
• HAKI Stair Towers: 795 vertical rising meters
The tensioned access safety netting was crucial for enabling safe roofing works. It provided a secure working platform at roof level, allowing roofing sheets to be installed even after high-level gantries were in place. This setup reduced the required distance beneath the safety netting, ensuring safety for operatives working at height.
Tensioned access safety nets were constructed from 45mm mesh, attached to the steelwork at 500mm intervals. Ratchet straps threaded through the net at 2m centres in both directions created 2m x 2m grids, keeping the net taut and usable as a working platform.
Our team collaborated seamlessly with FK Facades, earning the nickname “dream team” from directors and senior management for their exceptional performance.
